TIFFANIE AGEE

In 2009, Dean Agee earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Texas A & M University, where she focused primarily on research projects related to the curriculum in black Texas high schools before and after integration. She matriculated at the University of Alabama School of Law, where she earned both a J.D. in 2013, and an LL.M. in Business Transactions in 2016. Graduating cum laude, Dean Agee continued her research work on the historical roots of education in desegregated school systems.

Dean Agee’s professional career includes an expansive legal practice. Since 2015, she has been a solo practitioner in her firm, Agee Law, LLC. She maintains a criminal, civil, trial, and appellate law practice, where she has successfully reversed criminal convictions. In addition, she has authored, co-authored, and contributed to several scholarly publications pertaining to law. In 2018, Attorney Agee joined the faculty of MLS teaching Legal Writing/Research, Agency & Partnership and Corporations, and is widely respected by students, faculty, and staff. Since joining the MLS faculty, she has brought many fresh ideas to the table and assisted the administration with curriculum changes.

Dean Agee is an active member of the community and serves on multiple organizations and committees including, the Alabama Lawyers’ Association, Birmingham Bar Association, Magic City Bar Association and is the Membership Chair for the Black Women Lawyers Association ofAlabama. She has been appointed to serve as a member of the Government Relations Liaison Committee of the Alabama State Bar as well as the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force Committee of the Alabama State Bar for the past 2 years. She’s a Board member of Alabama Appleseed Center for Law and Justice and she was most recently recognized as a member of the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum Class 16.

Recently, Dean Agee and her research were quoted in a CNN article regarding current events related to Alabama law, and she used her platform to promote Miles Law School. Dean Agee’s professional background, experience, enthusiasm, and seemingly unlimited energy; along with her vision, which has a strong focus on fostering strong alumni relations and community partnerships with MLS, are assets that we believe will improve our academic status and promote sustained growth. We are confident that she will move MLS forward in new and exciting ways.
